Team Time Trials - 19th July 2014 at Nowra

Thanks Liam, might be an option if we can get confirmation from CNSW? (Although presumably, because it is a state champs, you only get one chance to win).

I suspect we'll be well below 40kph average as well!

Some of us might be certifiable, but at least not as mad as this guy, who did Canberra's 4 peaks ride (Majura, Ainslie, Red Hill, and Black Mtn) immediately prior to doing Fitz's 250...

Re: Fitz - Sunday October 27 2013

It was a cold start, so I thought it would be a good idea to ride to Stromlo from the hotel. You know, to get warmed up. It was pitch black, and a thick fog was hanging around. My little hipster cyst front light did its best to illuminate a path. When a small child in a shroud appeared suddenly in t...

Re: Fitz - Sunday October 27 2013

The new 205 / 250km courses are up. The 205km has a shorter Corin climb, and covers Mt McDonald both ways (start and finish); the 250km goes to the end of the tar on Brindabella Rd, on top of the usual diversions and instead of the Corin Dam turnaround. Looking at the predicted temperature range, I ...

Tomorrow (20 Oct) 6am at The Marrick – Audley in – no extra shenanigans, just a solid hunk of burning pace*. Or something.

I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck working when it is on, and haven't even attempted spousal consultation – but I am willing to have a glass-half-full sort of punt and stick myself on a list. Besides, I just got new neon socks.

DHBC Juniors Training, News and Statistics 9 October 2013

Hello Everyone, Just to be completely unpredictable, I'm sending out this news update on time! It must be the unseasonable weather... Bit of a big night rider-wise, with 31 juniors coming down to the track. Daylight savings strikes! There goes my 22 theory. That didn't last long. Because of numbers,...

Re: National Junior Track Series Round 1 16/17 Oct Dunc Gray

Ok, confirmed with Rexine (Cycling NSW state coordinator) that the gearing is correct and both Zanzi and Sarah will be riding U17. Unfortunately the wording on the website is ambiguous, but she confirmed that normal track season rules apply (the track season starts Oct 1 and uses the age-groups of t...

I'm waiting confirmation from Cycling NSW - highly likely that Sarah and Zanzi will be riding U15 given their birth dates. Thanks for the heads up on the rule.

Basically yes, it was ok. Temper that with the fact it was a public holiday. Only shenanigans I remember were a couple of utes traveling in convoy on a very wide section of road near the Peats Ridge Rd turn off (?). Must have been running late for the bogan convention. Overall, motorists were very p...
