Later Thur Hills - 06:00 C28 pace - Interested?

Hello DHBCers. I love the Thur hills ride but it starts too early for me. I'm proposing to start a 06:00 hills ride from Thur 10th Aug at a C28 pace. I may not be there every week but will use this thread to post whether I'm going. But you don't need me to go cycling! We may skip Bellevue as a time ...

Trouty and I are doing this Gran Fondo style ride in October - we've opted for the 90k version. There's also a 160k ride. Are any other DHBC riders planning on doing this? We'll be down there for the weekend and have booked lunch on the Sat at Biota Dining if anyone's keen for a gourmet buildup to t...

Also found these in the back of the shed. Don't quite know what I was thinking at the time. Could have been tempting the wife into shopping with the bike. Have 4 of these. Brand spanking new, still with tags and plastic cover http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/Strawburger/saddle/E957AB5D-69E0...

Rowing Machine - $50 ONO

We're selling our hardly used rowing machine. It's like this one >> http://www.crazysales.com.au/online-genki-exercise-rowing-machine-with-magnetic-resistance-multi-functions-66653.html here's a photo. Pickup in Dulwich Hill. I'll try to find the manual that came with it. https://lh3.googleuserconte...

Re: 2016 NSW Clubs Teams Time Trial - Saturday 16th of July

As we're not attending this year the house we normally rent for the weekend is available (seems no one else has organised accom). It's not cheap at $450 night this year (up from $375 last year!) but it is really big, has heating and an open fire and even a pool for that post ride cold bath and a poo...

Re: Jan 2016: Standard Club Kit Stock Levels

Hi Nick. I just called Velofix and they've apologised if there was misinformation but there are plenty of club wind vests in stock in all sizes. as at 24/03/2016 we had the following stock. Note that vests are Unisex and we have found that often people will buy one size up from the jersey size. &sdo...

Re: 2016 NSW Clubs Teams Time Trial - Saturday 16th of July

Dave - AFAIK you need a full race licence. They've never offered day licences before. You should be able to purchase a half year race licence (as it's in July) for a discounted rate as a 'step up' from your recreational licence. You can also race the Sassafrass Challenge instead, where you don't nee...

I won't be able to ride but can potentially do support.

You need a sign for the back of the car and a flashing light on the roof.

Cost is $125 or $135 if you got an alteration. There are three mediums and one large as "stock" so if you missed the order you can still get one.

Re: Missing the point on the new cycling laws

Good post Simon. For mine this just reinforces that these new laws are all about punishing and marginalising cyclists while Gay & Baird allow rule breaking motorists to go unpunished, because they want a car centric culture and that's where they see their supporter base coming from. Every day in...

May do an extended down to Stanwell Tops if people are keen but only if no coffee stop as I need to be back by 11.00.

Hi everyone. Weather looking good. Please remember its dark when we start so you'll need functioning lights front and back. Given the current anti-cycling climate in Sydney you should also have a bell. Let's have a safe ride noting some remarks from the ride leader of last Sunday's C28's where there...
