Re: Scott 24hr 2011

My race was a bit tougher than I was expecting. I wasn't expecting the course to require so much concentration and to littered with so many rocks! My new bike was great (far more competent than me) and stayed upright in spite of all my mistakes, except two. Luckily, I just ended up with some bruises...

Re: Adventure Rides 2011-6am 11th Sep: The 3 Gorges

I'll be looking at the map carefully for hop off points (recovering from a minor crash last week (my fault, not the driver's - lesson learnt is cars can brake much faster than bikes)) 1. Stuart 2. Eleri * 3. Jeremy 4. Camilla * 5. Dougie 6. Ian (Karzie) 7. Adam 8. Jo the Builder 9. Michele (it's the...

Jo was on the original team of 4 but can't make it now... I said to someone that it should be pretty easy to get a team together. Their response was, "Yeesss... Because the world is just full of people desperate to do a 24 hour mountain bike race."

We should make it a mixed maddison, or make the combinations 1 strong from the strong end, one from the weak end.
Great idea! The strong half can do 140 laps and the weak half 10 laps.

It was a fantastic day! Great weather, bushland, set up. Even the music wasn’t bad! Also, bone marrow transplants no longer require needles in bones. Very easy to join the bone marrow register - just go to the Blood Bank. Luckily for my family, whe...

If the rider really knows how to get around the drug tests (almost 100% probability), the chance of passing 500 tests is not too bad. I guess that if you know the thresholds the UCI is using, constantly test your own blood and are a bit conservative and don't let your levels get too near the thresho...
