Re: Want to buy- group set
I thought you already had a groupset, and just needed a bike. PBK does cheap groupsets. They currently have Centaur (better than Veloce) for $756.21 in both compact and normal. http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=X0160 Here's the catch. The shortest crank that Campagnolo currently makes is 1...

Re: Sunday Waterfall bunch ride
I support this idea for the middies and fasties, as it encourages people to move up, where we have had major issues with people saying they arent fast enough for the next bunch, but they proceed to speed the slower bunch up to similar speed to the fasties etc any way. So from this side of it it wor...

Re: Sunday Waterfall bunch ride
I don't mind the new scheme, but I think a definate break between Middies, Fasties is much better than letting them break off by natural attrition. This gets a bit dangerous and messy with the bigger bunches - a clean separation is safer. I also feel it is better for the Cafe to have the bunches arr...

Re: Tubulars - which tyres?
Really your standard options are the Vittorias evo corsa cx or the Continental competitions. I'm not sure how successful those sealing canisters are, it problably depends a lot on the type of puncture. As Othy mentioned in the other thread anytime you ride on these wheel you will need the carbon br...

Tubulars - which tyres?
Given my purchase of Zipps, I thought I'd better order some tyres from Wiggle incase these ones ever get a puncture. Does anyone have any suggestions of what is a good brand to buy? I would probably only use these for Road TT's and the front one for Track TT events. When I went to pick up the wheels...

Yes - it seems all the books and any one doing coaching or plans won't touch you without a power metre these days. Maybe in 5 years time they will make it cheap enough for the average rider to have one.Next you'll need to rebuild the rear with a PowerTap hub!

Even with cross wind and handling challenges, there's still aero power advantages for the legs. Jo will be unbeatable now.
