Re: FTP Testing

Don't know my FTP, however, whilst in Brisbane for work this week I used an exercise bike that output power. Maybe it can be calculated ?

I slowly ramped up the resistance and sat on 230W for the last 5 minutes of the workout. I'm around 75 - 76kg.

Re: Places to practice TT

I can vouch for the M7. In fact I managed to push out 42km on it this morning all non stop. Agree with everything Stuey has said. I have mainly ridden it early morning weekdays and there is ever only light bike and pedestrian traffic. First weekend ride was last Sunday and there was way less bike tr...

Re: Fitz's challenge rides in October

You guys a freaks !!!! The 105km was hard enough last year but peer pressure from my mates has pushed me to enter the 165km this year. I do recommend it though. As Adrian said, it is well organised and you can also fundraise for the Kid's Cancer Project if you so choose. I've only ever ridden 105km ...

Yeah I reckon cav for the first week, then the GC, no green unless wiggins is out.
I read cav has dropped 4kg's in prep for the Olympics. Not sure if that's enough to affect his power but may just open it up a little for the likes of Goss and Greipel.

Met up with John from marrickville on another crisp but clear autumn morning. We waited to about five past six then headed to CP via an alternate route past the airport for some variety. Didn't see any other DH riders whilst we completed our laps of the park. Great morning and a well needed 50km in ...

Hi Tim,

You might also want to look into iinet. We switched over recently (sorry can't remember exact details of the plan as my wife is the IT expert in our family) but from memory internet (ADSL2+) and home line is about $30/month.

Hi Dougie, I think Simon's post makes good sense, but Mike's comment on the Gatorskins is also worth a thought. I personally love them as I haven't punctured since changing over but I have noticed that they can slip and skate over the road especially going around corners in the wet. Maybe, change to...

Well done boys. I did the 105km and found that plenty tough enough. Don't know how you survived Fitz's Hill, I was near my limit on the first big climb out of Cotter.
