Sure, you can message me on Facebook to organise pick up or drop off, it's Ben Lilburne.I'll take the Pair of near-new Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres, 650b x 40 / 27.5 x 1.75, with reflective sidewalls. Great commuting tyre if you are commuting on a mountain bike. Barely used.

Re: Free Stuff
I've got the following stuff that I'll cheerfully give to someone who wants - this is all left over equipment that I replaced or found I didn't need. Nike Cycling carbon road shoes, size 45, silver. Used, slightly scuffed but otherwise fine. Velcro closure. Would match a 90s/early 00s bike really we...

Sony AS20 action camera with K-edge bike mount
Decent 1080p HD action camera, small & light. Comes with a waterproof case that mounts to an aluminium k-edge bar mount, works very well as a handlebar camera for stills or video. Has wifi and can be controlled by a phone. Requires a micro-SD card. Has been used a fair bit but excellent conditio...

Trainers and carbon bikes (Specialized safety notice)
Worth noticing for the many, many people who are riding their road bike with a trainer. Specialized has included this addendum with the Specialized Venge ViAS recall notice. https://media.specialized.com/Venge%20ViAS%20-%20Rider%20Notice.pdf Use special care if you use your bicycle with an indoor tr...

Re: Too many fast riders in the C28s to Waterfall
If they want to ride with their mate and ride on the front, then they need to convince their mate to go up to their bunch, if it is deemed safe to do so. +1 The issue isn't being in C28s and riding C28s pace, the issue is going in C28s and riding hard at the front because the pace is too easy for y...

Yeah I could do that I just don't wanna.
How do you even practice for something like that? You can't really start by flipping over half a fence.

Re: Giving way to pedestrians when turning left
All turning vehicles must give way to any pedestrian or vehicle on the road they're turning into. Turning left or right makes no difference. "You must give way to any pedestrians crossing the road into which you are turning." You should never ring your bell and plough ahead, by all means r...

Re: turbo recommendations
I have elite arion digital rollers, they have cheaper models with variable resistance units too. I like them a lot compared to a turbo, though you can't stand up, it is a more natural feel and it's easier to just put the bike on and start. You don't need to clamp the wheel and they don't chew up you...

Good bell for your road bike
We had a talk about bells this morning on middies, the bell I have is a spurcycle bell which was originally a kick starter project. It's a bit dear but they are small, durable, loud, and don't take much space on the bars. Very handy on shared use paths. They will fit most bars as long as there is a ...

Best ever B2B for me, 2km/h faster than last year, finished 3:24 at 32.2 km/h, spent most of the ride in a big unruly bunch with Phillip. And 19 is going to be too hot for a winter jersey too.

Re: Bike Carriers
Roof carriers are the way to do it, just find a way to make sure you remember to take them off before driving under low roofs. Definitely avoid anything that pinches the top tube on a carbon bike as it will break it. Also make sure your wheels are clear of your hot exhaust if mounting it on the back...

Well, despite saying that I was cured of any desire to do a 200 in the near future, I'm starting to think I could do the Alpine Classic 200 again, with a bit more training. I lost about 6 kg between June and Fitz's thinking that would make it easier - it didn't make it easier, but I was a bit faster...

Hi all, I was there too! I rode the 130km, having done the 200 and 140 in previous years and knowing better this time. :) The 130 is a lot easier than the 140 as you aren't climbing Buffalo in the midday sun. I don't have much to add, I had a good ride and it's always a fantastic event, it's as toug...
