Some great results for the good old Inner West Institute of Sport.
(ie Tempe Riders) in the TT.

I noticed that Brownie scored a top 10, whilst Donna Meehan and Peter Barnard got 2nds. Awesome efforts at a world class level!!

you will be right with those tyres..if you are really worried about it get out some 200 grit sandpaper and give the surface a light rub to scuff it up but frankly i dont think is an issue. I have ridden brand new rubino slicks out at DGV with no hassles.

60k is a 1 (750ml) bidon sort of race...there would not typically be a water stop in such an event. Take 2 if you are really worried or its hot on the day.

true...but if big guys that do 20km of motor pace and then 3 sprints and then go home and eat are comitted to finishing (however long it takes) im pretty sure that our lightweight roadie friends will be too...no worries there.

For anybody that cares... for waterfall rides and commuting i run 69 (48/19) and it works a treat. A bigger gear is a lot harder to get going at lights and the like so its good for training rides where you just want to run a good even cadence but not so good for dancing amongst the traffic jams. 69 ...

Lionels medal was definitely in '52 although he may well have competed in the '56 games...pretty sure he did.
