Re: 2011 Flat Tyre Competition

I am in with a chance this year I think with 3 flats already! 2 on the roadie and 1 on the MTB which I blame on running into Orphic on my way to work this week. Her bad flat luck must be contagious! 6.5 orphic (5) 5.0 Tim Llewellyn (5) 4.5 megatron (3) 4.0 3.5 3.0 2.5 2.0 John Nguyen 1.5 Lindsay, Li...

Re: JetBlack 24Hr

I like the idea of the 6+6 solo, it will be a nice warm up to the Mont. It doesn't look like selling out just yet, or at least I can't find anything to suggest that it is. Oh and I was sooo ill the weekend of the fling and for the weeks either side with the flu that seems to be going round. I could ...

JetBlack 24Hr

Anyone interested in the JetBlack 24 hr?

http://www.rockytrailentertainment.com/ ... rview.html

Looks like they have quite a few race categories as well as a 6+6 Hour option for those not wanting to race through the night (or perhaps to attempt solo)

Manly Dam After Dark

Now that the weather has gotten warmer (mostly) and daylight saving has kicked in I have been thinking about heading out to Manly Dam for a lap or two afterwork, most likely on Thursday evenings. The plan would be to get to catch the 6.30 ferry over (to allow time to escape work) which means getting...

Re: The Angry Doctor

I think you're onto something JonB and Orphic I agree, I want my time back too! To sour my experience even further I just found out that the damage to the car is extensive enough to require the entire roof to be replaced along with the front windshield. (I realise this element is just an unlucky acc...

I think you nailed it there.

No racing and a car peppered with dents from falling tree branches overnight and a massive repair bill

Re: Manly Dam - Saturday August 14

I did get the ferry and it was a really easy trip. They actually have quite a lot of bike racks on the Manly ferry so it was a perfect day to park the bike and enjoy the trip. The ride from the ferry to Manly Damn is quite hilly but very straightforward and only took about 15 -20 mins max from memor...

I can do both days, though there may be the occasional Wednesday I can't due to an early meeting, just have to be in the office by 8/8.15ish (and that can be straight off the bike not showered and clean).

Re: DHBC Womans Road Time Trial Team

Funnily enough I haven't checked the forum for ages due a long stint with no consistent bike action for a number of reasons (primarily crazy work hours that have been killing me and pretty much explain my disappearance) and just happened to check back in today. My ears must have been burning. Howeve...
