Anyone know where I can get hold of one of these as the battery has died (I hope)?
Thanks.

Re: It’s DHBC & Cycling Australia membership renewal time
Do we need to renew DHBC membership or is this included in the CA membership?

Re: Another anti cyclist rant, but by whom?!
The issue here is that most people see cycling as a sport and not a mode of transport. Running is almost definitely a sport given that it is pretty impractical to run far in jeans and t-shirt. Cycling and especially the sort of cycling that takes place on dedicated cycleways is for getting to A-B. I...

Re: My little tour
Hi Vic, Apologies for the late reply. Did a little trip over Xmas along the bike packing theme. We were staying in Thredbo so 3 of us attempted to get down to Tin Mine Hut on the Cascade Trail. About 35km along a double track into the Kosciusko National Park. Some great riding and reasonable technic...

Re: My little tour
The trailer was indeed heavy, I weighed it when I got to Mum and Dads place tonight - 28kg! And that's with only half the water I was carrying most of the time. The bike weighs 13.3kg... Not exactly weight weenie touring. It was hard slog but worth it to be able to carrying around everything I need...

Bike Friendly Car Hire
Does anyone know of any car hire companies that have cars with either pre-fitted roof racks (Subaru style rails) or a tow bar, so that bike carrying equipment can be installed (I have access to both types)? Going to Thredbo between Xmas and New Year and looking for transport options for 3 bikes plus...

Re: The Angry Doctor
Easily the worst weekend away in a long time. Did the prologue on the Saturday (another 20 dollars) which was 10k of slippy, muddy trails and was deflated after that with the prospect of Sunday being the same. Pleased we didn't hang around for the race they did put on in the end. Got me thinking abo...

Rain forecast for tomorrow, 20% chance on Sunday.
Nothing can be as bad as Capital Punishment. My bike hasn't been the same since. Made for some great photos though http://www.damianbreach.com/Blog_10/CapitalP/index.html

Re: Entries just opened for the Audax Alpine Classic
I remember last year climbing up Mt Buffalo and the road edge littered with bodies whilst other riders hurtled down with smiles ear to ear. Great way to finish the day and what a climb and descent. 35 degrees in Bright but dropped 10 degrees at the top of Buffalo to 25. Signed up for the 250k this y...

3 Ring Circus Entry Available
I signed up for the 3 Ring Circus MTB race on the Sunday s25th July but can no longer make it due to being overseas. The race is 50k and is held at Wingello State Forrest, Southern Highlands. It is the pre-cursor to the Highland Fling that is always massively oversubscribed. If anyone wants the entr...

Hi, I previously put my name down and paid for a small 2009 jersey but not yet collected this. Just tried on a Nalini top I have and the small is going to be too small. Please can I order 1 x medium jersey and cancel the 1 x small 2009 model? Re-route the funds accordingly. Apologies for the 11th ho...

Looks like someone in the council doesn't like the bikes around Manly Dam.

T'was a great ride and a perfect day to be riding through the RNP. Pleased someone turned up as I wouldn't have known where to go :) I can't understand why more people wouldn't want to do this ride. Certainly much more scenic and traffic free than riding down the freeway to Waterfall and back. Finge...

I'd be interested in hearing about the Centennial Park loop. Is it off road? Would also been keen on a mid-week after work trip from the city to Manly Dam and then ferry back. Done that route a few times now and reckon we could be at the dam in around an hour. I have some decent lights should it get...

MTB Race this Weekend?
Anyone know of a MTB race around Sydney this weekend? Overheard some talk of one on a club ride the other week but didn't get the details.
