It was a difficult decision, with the weather just hanging around in a borderline state. The radar was showing a reasonable area of rain, so we decided to call it, taking into consideration safety on a wet track (especially on the tight bottom corners).

Re: Sydney Road Titles - 26th May

The challenge is when you're trying to hang onto the back of the Elite Men bunch in a crosswind at 50km/h+. However, i do agree, flat can be boring.

Re: Cootamundra Haycarters & Recovery: Sat-Sun 12th & 13th M

It's a handicap race, so you're racing everyone. The idea is to work with your bunch to catch the bunches in front of you and not be caught by the bunches behind (less people to sprint for the win against). Bunches merge when caught, you can jump onto a faster bunch when they catch, just don't jump ...

Sydney Road Titles - 26th May

Flat, Fast, and hopefully not too windy.

Entries for the Sydney Road Titles close this Sunday - May 13th (NO LATE ENTRIES)

Held at the Regatta Centre, the course is as flat as you'll ever get, but that means fast, so get your entries in.

The Coota Classic went out to Young and Harden in the past, and the Haycarters was also North of Coota coming back with a right turn at Wallendbeen. Both Sunday races haven't really changed (always east of coota). Issues with getting approval to race on the main highways into Coota resulted in the S...

The guy on the bottom, since he wasn't actually moving, so must have been there a while. :D

He might be DQ'd though, as he's out of the sprinters lane, depending on whether he actually took it.

I'm guessing John, Alex, and Rhys want some accommodation. Do you need accommodation Taylor?

I won't be able to give anyone a lift though, as i'll be heading to Canberra for 5weeks after the weekend.

As with all National Championships, you only get to wear the jersey in the discipline you won it, and not during the next National Championships. Since i only ride the Penny once a year, there's no opportunity to actually wear a champions jersey.

Great fun in Evandale this year, even though it was a pretty quick visit missing the usual Century and week of touring. My opinion is it leaves more money for SBS to spend on other race coverage through the year. Nothing wrong with the coverage on Channel 9 when compared to SBS last year. The only real difference in Channel 9 coverage compared to SBS last year is the Classic wasn't shown live, and highlights were on ...

Slipping in the wet is about knowing the abilities of your tyres to grip the road and riding within them. It's not going to make any difference swapping to GP4000's from Gatorskins if you don't ride within the grip ability of the tyre, same in the dry, and the same issue is present when you drive. W...

Re: Setting the pressure and rebound

From my limited MTB experience. You need a shock pump (i need to return the one i borrowed...). Then you want to have the fork pressure so there's 25% sag (i think it was 25%) when you're sitting on the bike. There may be some pressure guidelines on the forks, otherwise google will probably find them.
