Toss in Akuna Bay as well. Gives you a genuine hill and the ride along Coal and Candle creek is glorious.

Re: "The Wall" 5.30am Saturday, 29/11/2014

I need a big ride to clear the head. I am more likely to leave earlier and do a trip to macs pass and back. (I have a lot of crap to clear out of my head!).

But I might feel " lazy" and join for this. Or I might have to work again. Who the hell knows. Don't wait for me.

Melt in the sun, melt in the sun! Who wants to come with me and melt in the sun? Damm that was hot. I was so salt encrusted at the end it felt like I had spent the day swimming in the ocean (I wish). Just before the start I told James I planned on hiding at the back of one of the front bunches, and...

Fitz's recovery dinner - 7pm Sunday 26th Oct - Hungry Buddha

Any interest in dinner after the various Fitz's? May I suggest the Hungry Buddha in Curtin @ 7 for 7:30 http://thehungrybuddha.com.au/dine-in-menu/ A number of us ate here last year and it was really rather good. Being Nepalese - there are plentiful vego options for those that way inclined. No Bhang...

What pace is this ride?

Jo should answer, as it's her ride. I'll be riding at Jo's pace for all but the hills. My guess would be 28s to slow middies.

I have had lower back problems. +1 on the bike fit. Also core, core and more core. Find some good yoga and or Pilates classes. Small, to make sure your form is good. Work a desk job? Bet you have chronically tight hip flexors. They will wreak havoc with your lower back. So flexability as well as cor...

they will have lasted between 15,000and 20,000 km before they wear out

I had 6 months trouble free use from my powertap. 1 year of hassles. Then the internals died completely. 800 bucks or do for replacement internals, which I didn't spend. I couldn't recommend a powertap. I'd be doubly cautious of buying from ovrseas because of added hassles in support. The other thin...

Seriously? C grade for Philip? And John Healy? I agree those 2 should be in the same grade, but they are not middies. Maybe not "genuine" fasties, but they can both ride of the front of the middies bunch pretty much at will. If they are c grade standard, then d grade is for middies and bel...
